For no good reason.  I think I only called it so because it was in the previous 
post, but it's strange how the engine's cooling system extends so far back.  I 
don't think that it even satisfies the area rule (although I see from an entry 
in Wikipedia that that applies to high subsonic speeds.

But I suppose you could describe the system as cooling the oil indirectly :-)
