This is a fine strategy - if you only want MF.

Here's the rub. I also have one of these. The AF focal length setting and micro
AF adjust are excellent. However --
programming them is tedious and consumes many camera shutter cycles. ( I used
my old 300D for that.)

So, the only practical strategy with several lenses is to buy and program a
separate adapter for each lens. Lengthy
reprogramming with each lens change would be really annoying.

At $14 apiece, it's also an inexpensive strategy.

I agree with you and Frank on that.

I have three adapters, an early, hand made, un-chromed brass one, one from
jinfinance without AF chip and a Big_IS with
AF chip.

The jinfinance is the best fit. The Big_IS is very slightly loose on Zuikos,
but fits every 3rd party lens I've tried,
some slightly loosely, some perfectly. I much prefer a slightly loose adapter,
as it's much easier to shim out than to
make thinner.

My adapter simply has some magic style tape on its front surface. Inelegant,
perhaps, and impractical for heavy use, but
excellent in practice for an adapter that stays on one lens. (I also have tape
on the back surface of an M42=>EOS
adapter to avoid shorting the lens contacts.)

I think one needs to face the fact of some sample variability on $14 adapters.

Yup, works very well.

What if the Hokey Pokey *IS* what it's all about?
