After Irene we had friends living with us for a week as there was 2-1/2
feet of water in the basement of their riverside home (which is about
20-25 feet above the normal water level). The guy's brother who lives
not far from them was even less fortunate as the front foundation wall
was pushed in. Fortunately, we're on the top of a high hill which keeps
us high and dry.
