Hi Tina,
The vuescan as others have said is so much better, having tried
silverfast and Vuescan in the past, I personally got the best results
with epson scan, there must be a box I have ticked somewhere or maybe
not ticked that messes up scans from these two, I spent quite a few
hours fiddling with silverfast as it was Supposed to deliver but never
got any good scans same with vuescan so in the end life is too short
and I found good enough scans with another product.
I actually like the colours but the the Vuescan one is much much better.
Maybe some of the others need rescanning ;-)
