It was many years ago that I was seriously looking to buy quality radio 
strobe triggers.  At the time a new company called "Radio Popper" was 
making a lot of noise about how they were going to revolutionize the 
business but they made much more noise than product.  I'd forgotten 
about them but it appears they actually delivered in 2009.  See:

They appear to be cheaper and more capable than the Paul C. Buff units 
whose lights are some that they control.
