Hi Don,

I passed the tank this morning.  Saw only one or two birds.  However, the 
thing that disturbed me was that the "vent pipe" was just a vertical pipe. 
Nothing black on top.  So, I must conclude that the black attachment in the 
photo was one of the birds.
