My experience, having owned one of each, it that carriers are not
compatible. Watch for an Ilford variable contrast head, was super happy with
mine.

Subject: [OM] Film holders for Chromega 4x5

Well...

I've got the big honkin enlarger in the house. It's only been two
years since I got it. My dad gets his basement back.

But, I'm missing something rather important. I have no film holders.
The question is whether or not I need the Omega square holders or will
the rounded Besselers work in it too? I know I have a holder for
another enlarger that I can make work on the short term, but I really
do need to get some proper ones. Any advice or spares would be
welcome.

On a totally related note, I've looked at the base mount for the
column. It looks like I can adapt it to a horizontal surface, but I
have the wall-mount adaptor. I'm thinking that it might be better for
me to bolt it do the wall. Any input on this is welcome. Otherwise, I
could make a rolling base made out of steel and bolt it to that.
Fortunately, the Chromega is large, but not huge. I've got the ceiling
height to be able to mount it to my work top.
