Ah, nice!
Turns out that the gas fireplace insert in our new digs was a bit
broken. The disclosure on the form was not totally clear about the
status of it and the home inspection did not address it, so we took
the risk. Well, that's costing us a little chunk of change. The
ceramic base, where the flames come up through is cracked and the
radio-control thermostat probably took a lightning strike. I don't
care about the thermostat, but the ceramic base has to be replaced.
It will be nice having it work because the downstairs does get a bit
chilly in the evening.
