As I understand it you'll never get focus confirmation from a contrast AF
system. It needs to move the elements to be sure of focus...
The hybrid systems (with on-sensor phase AF) still rely on contrast AF for
'the final move', so I doubt that will provide AF confirmation as well. But
maybe there will some development after the full frame mirror less is
available. There will be big demand for AF confirmation on all those legacy
lenses...
