Some sort of personal spiritual practice? I can't think of any other reason. :-)

Ah well, I can see what you mean, and yet, it seems to me pretty much what it 
was. See my reply to Bob.

Mostly, Moose don't do sharpening halos. But he's so picky he sees one 'almost' 
one that bothers him. BTW, USM is not 
the only tool that may cause such halos.

It's easy to get confused between Oly Love-Hate and interest in good 
photographic tools. I had never had a digital 
Olympus, but the E-M5 hits the sweet spot of capability and features for me. I 
imagine several folks here have, like me, 
bought it for what it is, and felt happy that it happens to be an Oly
