I can see the RealPlayer install being negated by the return to a 
restore point but that doesn't explain the deletion of a backup copy 
known only to Chris.  But I also don't believe in any nefarious 
intentions on the part of Microsoft.  Not that Microsoft is devoid of 
nefarious intentions; I just don't see any business or monetary 
advantage for them to do this but do see plenty of disincentives.

There's some other explanation but I don't know what it is.
