Huh?

The answer to your particular issue is an auxiliary battery. Could do it
yourself with a sealed led-acid, cord and plug
to a 12v outlet in the car and high efficiency converter. Or, get one of those
batteries packaged as an emergency
starter, that also has USB, inverter and 110 v outlets built into the case.

I have this problem with our little RV.

We most often camp in parks with no power. It has a good sized, deep-cycle aux.
battery, but on a typical cooler night,
I need all that power for other things, even after switching halogen lights to
LCD. Also, the built-in inverter uses
over twice the current as the smaller, more efficient one I have - and I've
been too lazy to install additional 12v
outlets. So I charge things off the main vehicle battery overnight. Usually,
some stuff is charged by bed time, and
anything else is charged by the time I get up to pee, and I unplug the
inverter. The total power draw amounts to nothing
from a fully charged vehicle battery.

We almost always go somewhere during the day, and 15-20 minutes of driving
fully charges both batteries. Indispensable
is a digital meter and chart of-no load voltages corresponding to % of charge.
The relationship is FAR from linear. I
use a dedicated meter that plugs into the 12v outlet.
