Ooh - the 100/2.8 can be had for under $200.  That would give me a 200mm 
equivalent which would be nice.  And diaphragm stopdown won't be much of an 
issue since I'd be shooting close to wide open most of the time.  

It must be the 100/2 that's the "magic glass".
