I will check it out.

I cut my teeth on Soundcraft, as did so many of us my age. But the
best sound I've ever achieved has been on a Trident. The EQ's on the
Tridents (and Toft) are in a different world. The closest I've ever
come was on an Allen & Heath GL4, which was horrid for recording, but
awesome for live. The preamps weren't very good, but the EQ section
had "it". These days, I mostly fly Yamaha gear, and have a decent
Yamaha home studio, but the EQ's are just not the same. It takes a LOT
of work with the EQ's to get the sound you want without reaching for
the razorblades. Fortunately, I have a WAVES plug-in module that has a
better EQ and compressor engine. The SADiE digital editor had a really
fine "British EQ" and I've used it to save many a mix.

AG Ears.
