So far, based on less than 2 weeks, living a mile from the sea is
giving us a more changeable climate with at least some sun every day.
Belgium, perhaps 'the low countries' in general, suffer from days with
a very low cloudbase which is just grey and can be a bit depressing.
There is a wide choice of beers available, mainly local / draught (van
het vat), but all low alcohol (<4%) - the favorite Belgian bottled
brands can be found too. I enjoy a nice cider which was rare in Belgium
so that's a plus. And I don't think you can beat English pubs.
