For about the same amount of money one can buy a *reliable*
receiver <http://www.paulcbuff.com/csr.php>
transmitter <http://www.paulcbuff.com/cst.php>
pair or, for much less money (maybe 0 depending on what's on hand), one 
can run a (likely short) wire from the hot shoe to the fill light which 
is presumably very close to the camera. Let the fill light trigger the 
others optically.  This also has the advantage of not introducing yet 
another (complicating) light into the supposedly critical lighting 
required for reconstruction or the original lighting.
