Hum. Can't see trying to drive on the left _and_ navigate a camper at the same 
time. Of course elevation can be achieved via motorcycle, but also not sure I'm 
ready for that either. I'm sure my wife wouldn't be, though sometime she's game 
for some strange stuff.

The more I read the more I think the notion of just bashing around with no 
particular plan is a good one, using advice from the list, of course. From what 
I see, May is usually a fairly dry month, but still finds snow at the higher 
elevations and not much in the way of colorful blooming. But then they say the 
heather doesn't put in an appearance until August, and watching what happens 
around here in August, I have no intention of ever taking a holiday during that 
month to anyplace that is even remotely attractive. Sigh. October might be 
nice, but the days will be getting rather short by then. Doesn't matter how 
lovely the scenery is, if you can't see it.

Of course at this point I'd give even money the Trip could find us in Cornwall 
or even Switzerland. <g>
