It's no cost (Google Voice, that is) when I am in Mexico, like now :-) Used
it a couple of time today. The nice thing is that you can assign a
telephone number to it (free) as long as you do so in the USA, and people
can dial it to call you back. With a little set-up, it can be configured to
forward (also no cost) to PC, cell phone, and tablet, basically holding the
caller while it locates you. Works great, as long as there's some wireless
(or the computer sort) in range. It can also, by adding an application
called groove ip, available for some $5 for the version you would need, be
configured to use one's cellphone GSM or CDMA transmission.
