Not THAT kind of orientation adjustment...

I realize this means absolutely nothing to anybody, but I've just got
to mention this. My wife painted the walls in the downstairs room this
week which required the computer desk, audio workstation and keyboards
get moved out from the wall. When moving everything back, I took the
time to adjust things a little bit as how it was situated was fine,
but just not good enough. So, we rotated it by 90 degrees. Now, my
computer monitor doesn't have a south window reflecting off the screen
and I was able to put the near-field monitors up at ear height where
they belong.

Best of all, thanks to getting the monitors up where they belong, the
main desk area suddenly has a whole lot of room again. Whew. Man, was
it getting cramped.

I guess the point to this pointless post is that a simple adjustment
can yield substantial improvements in the environment. I still have
the lovely glow of the fireplace warming me, so all is good in that
regard. Oh, and we're now able to get to all the shelves on both sides
of the fireplace, so the XX contingent is happy.
