I can't compare with the prior but this change does nothing to change my
opinion that the interior of the building is overexposed. Drop the
brightness by 1/2 to a full stop and I think you'll see what I mean.
The harshness fades away and the outside begins to look like the outside.
This is a heavily shaded interior whose only artificial light is
candles. I think you've been (perhaps subconsciously) trying to turn it
onto something that it's not.
