Tina,

I looked that up, and, from what I can read, if your system recognizes the 
drive with the present BIOS settings, leave it alone.  AHCI apparently opens 
up a whole new can of worms, and the jury is still out on whether or not it 
improves anything.  I have also read that it requires a complete reinstall 
of Windows if you use it.  I'm no expert in this area.  You would need 
someone in a higher pay grade to help with that.
