Missed the post where she uses a 24" EIZO display for the image editing part, 
did you? :-)

As do I. But there's nothing to keep one from using a portable for other tasks 
away from the editing station, and with 
big, high quality monitor for image editing. Bob uses a portable for editing in 
the same way.

I too happen to prefer a desktop for the main station and a much smaller, but 
less powerful, portable for anything away 
from there.
