A proper de-coke involved head removal and clean-out. I can remember selling
de-coke flat pack kits which included all the necessary gaskets. Of course, the
quick and dirty trick was to cross connect a couple of spark leads and get the
thing running for a short while - that blew most of the s**t out and let the
mechanic pretend he'd done it properly.
But the cost of that procedure would prolly be serious these days!
