It's a while since I used that version, Brian, but I am sure it hasn't
changed much in the interim. If LR has the images in the catalogue, then
they are already available to the filmstrip, it's just a matter of getting
the filmstrip to display (I assume it isn't displayed as yet). In the centre
of the bottom edge of the screen you should see an upward-pointing triangle
- hover the mouse over it and the filmstrip appears. Click on it and the
filmstrip remains visible no matter where you put the mouse.
Keywords should be very simple, and I can only imagine that you are
subconsciously assuming it isn't! In the Library module, find the Keywording
panel on the RH side of the screen (again, click on the triangle if you
can't see the panel - keywording is second, below Q!uick Develop. Below
"Keyword tags" is an empty field - type the keyword you wish to apply to
your selected images in the box. Type seberal keywords if you want to apply
multiple key, separated by commas. Press return. Done.
