Yep. At least they gave her 3 months' severance, so we can breathe a

is that when you're older (over 60) it's difficult. And, despite the fact
that it's illegal to not hire someone because of their age, the sad truth
is that employers will discount you based on that very thing. So, you have
to get creative and try to hide your age in your applications and resume'.
A lot of the online job applications (which more and more companies are
going to) are tricky - legally, they cannot require you to put down
anything that indicates your age, religious affiliation, race, etc.... but
that apparently doesn't mean that they can't put them there as "not
required" fields where you can volunteer the info if you're not careful...
