Thanks all. Will let you know how I get on after I have sorted out the
obligatory water leak! Not from the hood, it looks as though it is coming from
bottom of door liner and dripping inside. Will check the drain holes ,,then it
is back to the dealer to have door card taken off .Probably the plastic door
membrane not doing its job properly and allowing water past to trickle down
inner skin of door card. Bugger!!!
Bill talking about fitting into cars, I always wanted a "real" Lotus 7. My
dream car!! A motorbike on 4 wheels. When I finally sat in one my feet were too
large to get down to the pedals!! Colin chapman who designed it was about 5'7"
and 140 lbs. He designed it "No Compromise" to fit him. Dreams shattered!
Original Seven was about 100 bhp. Caterham took over the design in the
seventies and with new engines the power now goes up to 250ish bhp in a car
that weighs about the same as a few bags of sugar!!!!!! On reflection it is
probably safer that I did not buy one.

I bet you guys look great driving down the road with the top down. I've
lost a little height as I gotten older, however starting at 6'5" and
working my way down, I'll probably be about 137 years old before I'll be able
