But no, getting ready to get on a plane Tuesday morning headed for Boston, then
driving direct to MDI.
Sounds terrible, I know, but heading straight N. from Logan avoids Boston
traffic, then driving at night means no
traffic. Probably get a car about 7, say 5 - 5 1/2 hours, with a couple of
breaks, and we're there before 1 am, 10 pm,
our body time. Renting from Hertz through AAA gives us a free second driver, so
we can share the wheel time.
It was uglier last year, as it started raining between Boston and Portland,
which is when we discovered the wipers were
shot, and wasted over an hour finding replacements. Now we know wheat to do ...
BTW, you were precognitive about rental car insurance through VISA. At least on
a couple of my cards, full, primary
coverage kicks in Oct. 1st. As we are picking up our car 9/17, I'll still use
the $17 Amex option.
