As I thought I said, it is applied whether you want it or not. Clicking Auto on
and off will have no effect.
To put it another way, there is nothing you can do in ACR/PS to see what the
distortion looks like directly from the
glass. I don't know if that is as it should be, but it's the way it is, at
least when I last checked. There are
posts/papers on the Adobe web site explaining how it is.
I satisfied my curiosity by conversion in another app.
