Thanks, Mike.  I think the overhead winged creature is a Beech Bonanza, 
the most popular descendant of the Staggerwing.  They were in abundance 
that day at the airport.

Foliage can be a problem with a lot of cameras and lenses.  I tend to 
ignore it.
