I have an old 35/1.4 Summilux that is not ASPH and a newer one that is. I
assume the differences would be the same. The older lens has more flare
and a less crisp bokeh? Some photos I much prefer with the older lens,
which I have given to my daughter. It has a certain quality that is not
there with the aspherical even though the new lens is better technically
and holds up better in enlargements. Hope this makes sense.
