I doubt that sweatpants will really ever come back in style. Well,
they kinda are right now if you wear flip-flops and a ratty looking
hoodie. OK, OK, I just described my travel clothes. (Actually, I'm in
skin-tight running tights).

But to blame the magazine covers for the ails of society is very
misplaced. A direct case in point would be that if they WERE really
that influential, then they wouldn't be slobbing off to school in
"twin cheeks" yoga pants, flip-flops and a grubby sweater 10 sizes too
large. Hair a mess and no makeup. Good grief, even I don't leave the
house without being somewhat primped.

On a related note to all this discussion, I just got back from
dropping the X5 off at the repair shop that specializes in rich snot
vehicles. Enterprise Rent-a-Heap was there with my rental, but the
young lady from the rental agency was assisting another young lady
ahead of me. This lady was getting a minivan rental. I'm not sure why.
She looked mid twenties and was beyond stunning. Like stop me in my
tracks stunning. Is this person real? stunning. I don't think I've
ever seen anybody that in person looked like she was a photoshopped
magazine cover. Driving a MINIVAN!!!! Trust me, she wasn't wearing no
stinkin yoga pants or baggy sweatpants, although she probably would
have made them look good too.

A minivan! (yes, she did have a wedding band on--I checked, not that
it would have made any difference for me).

Minivan... Now I've got visions of five kids hanging off of her crying
"mom, Mom, MOM!!!!"
