Nikon LS8000ED. I shoot mostly 120 film and some 35mm. Tina Manley
mentioned that she uses the Nikon LS-5000, which was their best 35mm
scanner. If I shot only 35, I'd go for that one as it is cheaper and more
common than the medium format models like mine. The 8000 and 9000 have
VERY poorly designed film holders that are simply incapable of holding
film truly flat. The expensive glass carrier, which does not come with the
scanner, is needed for any size film on the Nikon 120 film scanners. I
have not heard of that being an issue with the 35mm Nikon scanners like
Tina's.
