I'd vote for an E-M5 (I have one and like it very much and we're on the Oly
list, but I'm sure the GX7 is a capable camera as well).

If you want to keep it light-weight get the 12-50mm (all-round,
weatherproof and macro), and maybe a 17mm 1.8 for street and night
photography.

If you have interesting e-glass like the 12-60mm buy the mmf-3. A bit heavy
but handling is fine as this is not a lens you use without your left hand.
Slow AF of course.

I can't recommend the Pana 20mm (I have it myself) as the combo suffers
from banding on higher iso's (depending on how dark it is starting from iso
800-1600) (and shooting in darker circumstances at higher iso's is part of
its relevance). I do like the lens and use it often at daytime though.

Think an e-m5 with 12-50mm and a 17mm/1.8 can be had for under $2000.

Enjoy your holiday, I've been on summer holiday to Italy for the last three
years now and it is a beautiful country, there is much to see.

Some pictures from this years visit to Rome <
http://zone-10.com/tope2/main.php?g2_itemId=10531>. Most with the 9-18mm
(my most used lens, love it), added two with the 12-50mm.

Best, Frank.

BTW An alternative could be the new 12-40mm/2.8 lens. A bit heavy as well,
but maybe the one-lens solution.

BTW If you haven't give up 'real' four third glass you might be better of
with a e-m1. Just sell your e-5 and you'll cover the pricegap between the
e-m5 and e-m1.
