I don't know how Oly is doing financially, whether overall or the photo unit,
but they continue to expand their µ4/3
lens lineup.
As a counterpoint to the large, expensive, Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm
F3.5-5.6 EZ, they have decided to do a
version of the compact 14-42, similar to the Panny X lens I have - Olympus
M.Zuiko Digital ED 14-42mm F3.5-5.6 EZ.
Same diameter and weight and even 4 mm shorter collapsed than the Panny, but of
course without the OIS.
All the announcements I found show it only collapsed, but it power expands and
collapses as the Panny does. Video here.

I'm not sure many here on the Fuji X List would be interested, but I find the
Panny version a great casual lens on a
small E-Pen and the Oly one is even more pocketable.
