Hi Bill,

Nothing wrong with trying cheaper alternatives, especially for a filter like a 
polarizer that you use only occasionally. I was merely suggesting to Chris that 
before using it at a 3-day workshop (for which he presumably paid a lot more 
than the cost of even the most expensive filter) he should try it out. You 
don't want to find out that your new piece of kit is a dog at the workshop.
