I did select scaled, and it says the resolution is 1920 x 1080, which is a 
gooch less than the resolution on the MacPro monitor, which is 1920 x 1200. The 
only choice on the NEC I have other than 1920 x 1080 is 1360 x 768, which is 
much worse. I think it’s an OS issue, and while I’m sure it eventually will be 
resolved, the need for 10.9.2 does not outshine my desire for the old screen.
