I've used Sherpa showshoes in powder and sank very little. They have a
solid nylon deck instead of rawhide lacing, so they are less likely to sink in
powder. I now have a pair of laced bearpaw snowshoes, which I like better as
the bindings are more like spats and are easier to attach.
