My MFL (mate for life) and I traveled to Davenport, Iowa (where the
Mississippi flows east to west) for our third annual orchid show at the
Wallace Garden Center. It took place a month ago and I've just finished
getting some photos webbed out:

This was my first opportunity to give my new (to me) Leica D 14-150 use for
the purpose that drove me to buy it. I think I'll hang on to it. What do
you think?
Maybe a third of the flowers are from displays that were judged as a whole
and also for individual plants making up the display. The majority of the
plants were offered by growers for sale. This tends to be where my
Hallmark holiday discretionary funds for MFL go. Covers Valentine's to
Mother's Day, if I am lucky.
Shooter was the E-5. I would say my stops averaged about f8, with nothing
faster than f5.6 or slower than f11. If anything I wish I had shot a
little less at f5.6 and a bit more at f11, but most of the shots that make
me feel that way are not here.
