Our Aga is propane-powered. We bought it on E-bay for 1/10 as much as a
new one, then, when it was shipped here from Georgia, Tom insured it for
the replacement value and they didn't bother to take it apart to ship it.
The back was damaged and the shipping company declared it a total loss.
We were able to completely rebuild the Aga with a new ignition system and
all new insulation and still come out ahead. In other words, they paid us
to take the Aga ;-) The four ovens are phenomenal and I've learned to cook
everything in the ovens.

I was also lucky with my mother-in-law. She taught me to cook!
