[OM] Bad behaviour

Recently I bought the 75mm f1.8 and have no regrets. It's a superb lens which I
haven't even begun to explore. But I did get very cross about a couple of
things.
In the recent past, Olympus was perhaps the last of the makers to include a
hood with every lens. I like hoods. They do this no longer. The 75mm comes
without. SoI went to look for one. Nice, metal, clamp-on - $120-160 on ebay!
Bloody hell! Oh, and if I don't like the clip on cap, I can get a nice push-on
metal one, Leica style, for a mere $80 or so. That's for a piece of pressed
metal. I am outraged. They included the pouch but I use old OM pouches anyway
(still have a few).
The hood I need and I bought a knock-off made by JJC for about $27. Really
nice, solid, well made. I think it will take a 72mm push-on hood cap if I can
find one. It could be one of those 'same product but came out of the back door
of the factory' type of products. Like the batteries.
I have this odd idea that a thousand dollar lens should come with good 'bits',
even if they add a bit to the price. A pox on their marketing strategy.
