[OM] Kodachrome slide mounts

Does anyone know the year when Kodak changed the colour of the 
Kodachrome cardboard slide mounts from the solid red "View from the 
other side" to the more familiar white "View from this side" mounts?
My best guess is between 1950 and 1950 but having an exact year will 
help me date some of the many slides I have inherited from my parents.
