I've caught something like that back when I used to seine for shrimp
with my Dad. He called them "Mantis Shrimp". While taking Invertebrate
Zoology in college, I learned they are properly named Squilla mantis. They
can get quite large (25cm) and are very tasty. They can also bite the hell
out of you if not careful.
