A question for computer experts. I have Avast antivirus installed.
Quite often just after startup, I get a message that the Windows (XP) firewall
is turned off. When this happens and I try to turn it on the system tells ne
that I am not alllowed to.
Not until a few minutes have passed am I typically able to turn it on.
Useful comment ( other than telling me that I should cease running a redundant
O/S) welcome.
I suspect the reason has something to do with Avast operation, but so far I
have no information on that.
