Recall that Brian's main camera is the E-3 which suffers from poorer highlight
performance than it's later sibling the E-5. Coupled with the computer
struggles of not being able to leverage RAW access and Brian is only seeing
blown highlights and not getting to correct it. To his eye it looks correct
because that's all he gets to see.
Perhaps we could all club together and clear out our old computer stashes to
get Brian and Chris T faster machines?
Of course none of that changes the physics that you clearly state :)
