About 2 months before they closed the Hauppauge facility (and laying off
all remaining techs) they lured back an average tech who was still in
training at Tamron. Olympus had laid him off once before, and like a
true sociopath (a corporation) they laid him off again. This guy
completely burned his bridge back to Tamron. I would never go back
knowing how they operate now.

I don't know about the rear control wheel. It looks like the plastic
shaft has broken off. If the camera is still under warranty I should
think that would be fixed free of charge as well and at the same time. I
wouldn't try to fix this myself. I think a proper repair will require
at least partial disassembly of the camera since the broken shaft
appears to descend into the camera.
I received the notice of the LCD cover crack perhaps as long as a year
ago. My camera was not affected. I sure hope my rear control dial
doesn't break off.
