50/1.4

It's the lens I bought the OM1 with and, although I ended up with the 35/2.8,
135/3.5 & 135/2.8, I pretty much only ever used the 50 (likewise for focal
length on other systems). I've no comparison to make against the Zuiko 1.8 &
3.5, but I always liked the results I got with that 50, particularly on Kodak's
C41 B&W film (better than the Canon EF 50/1.8II, though I'm now equally
enjoying the near-"equivalent" Fuji 35/1.4 on the X-E1). For me it also
balanced well, handling-wise, in the OM1 - making it subjectively small, but
not too small, and similarly (to the body) solid.

But I still thing the 135/3.5 is aesthetically (in itself, not images it
produces) the nicest lens I have owned, and matched to the OM1 body. That
doesn't help he photos though (except perhaps in that difficult to define
pleasurable working mindset that one - that is, I :) - might get from working
with beautiful tools).

[apologies for any errors above, but typing one-handed and pain-killed after
whittling accident and nerve surgery on left index finger]

Cheers,
