Most magistrates are unpaid "lay magistrates" , they get refunds on their
expenses though - and sit in benches, or should.
(Paid) Magistrates or Stipendiary Magistrates are professionals, working mainly
in the cities, but are in limited numbers (last time I checked it was a little
over 100 of them, last time ...
In the test the trick was "usually"
At least I got that one right ;-)
I wonder how many kids under the age of 77 could get British citizenship ;-)
