A feature available on the OpenVMS operating system for as long as I can
remember (at least 20 years) !
Generic queue feeds multiple execution queues, queues can be on multiple
hosts in a network.

Recent versions of Windows even include a printer pooling feature which I
understand is easy to set up if both printers are the same make and model.

Doing it with different makes/models would be problematic, due to the
differing printer drivers, but might be able to be done if both used a
common driver, like postscript.
