Indeed, Paul.

I’ve just finished reading “Wings over Summer” by Ron Powell, a former RAF 
pilot.  He retired from the RAF a few years ago so wasn’t a wartime pilot, but 
he spoke to many WWII aircrews to get a feel for it and the result was a pretty 
realistic account of how it would have felt – for the fighter pilots, at least.

I would say that it was available from Amazon, but I’m giving myself an Amazon 
break for December – in protest at the company’s tax and employment policies .
