I am really on a roll with this film stuff (pun intended). Eleven new pictures
from Denmark in November are here:

and the next 10.

I enjoyed both sets. It did seem to me, though that film and/or scanning are letting you down in some tonal details. And if Ken has the same opinion about the film, I may even be right. ;-)

Most people do tend to over-expose it a bit, but one must be careful
about that as you lose tonal separation in the mid/mid-high tones.

As others have said, the first Beata portrait is the big winner. And I know this is a subtle difference, but holding a little tonal detail in her arm and the brighter parts of her face makes it just right to my eye. <http://www.moosemystic.net/Gallery/Others/Wajsman/Beata.htm>

The portrait of Lars is very nice, too. Again, I like more tonal detail in the low highs or high middle tones. <http://www.moosemystic.net/Gallery/Others/Wajsman/Lars.htm>

And, well, maybe not the film, as such, but this lovely, quiet image, maybe a little underexposed, opens up beautifully, to my eye. <http://www.moosemystic.net/Gallery/Others/Wajsman/Bench.htm>

The flattened tones really show up in the sun.

Did I overdo these in my enthusiasm? Flipping the roll-overs, it might seem so, but try just leaving the snappier versions for a while, without looking at the originals. <http://www.moosemystic.net/Gallery/Others/Wajsman/Bell.htm>

And as prints oooh.

Maybe that's why I messed with The Bench, I could see a print on my wall. :-)

What if the Hokey Pokey *IS* what it's all about?
